Shri Mataji's & Sir CP’s Dubai Visit

10th August

12:30 AM

Shri Mataji arrived at the Dubai International Airport, with a beautiful, benevolent smile on her face. While the immigration formalities were completed, Shri Mataji waited in the VIP lounge at the airport, where she was served refreshments by the welcoming committee. She was joyous and full of life inspite of the long flight.

1:00 AM

The immigration process was complete, and the travelling group moved out of the airport. Shri Mataji was escorted to the vehicle that would transport her to the hotel. Outside the airport, about two hundred Sahajayogis had turned up to get darshan of Shri Mataji. She blessed them all as she got into the vehicle, and it slowly moved away towards the hotel.

1:50 AM

Shri Mataji and Sir C. P. arrived at the hotel, and were welcomed by a few young children. She was very pleased with the room and decorations within. After a few minutes, all the young children of the collective were allowed to enter the room to get darshan of Shri Mataji. The children were overjoyed at this opportunity to meet Shri Mataji, and smiling faces filled the room. At Mother's request, the children sang Ganesha, Ganesha and Shri Mataji liked the performance very much. She expressed concern at the fact that the children were staying up so late, but their smiling faces quickly made it clear that her presence had filled them with energy. She then spoke to a few of the children, asking them where they were from. After a few minutes, Shri Mataji said they should go to bed, and so the children left the room elated at having met their Holy Mother. One of the children was heard exclaiming, "Shri Mataji spoke to me!".

2:30 AM

Dinner was served to Shri Mataji, and after dinner she retired for the night.

5:00 AM

The Sahajayogis of Dubai conducted morning meditation via conference call, and the visiting Sahajayogis from Fujeirah and Bahrain joined in. It was a calm summer morning, and the vibrations flowed strongly due to Shri Mataji's presence. A musical program will take place later today, and practise sessions are underway.

11:00 AM

Shri Mataji had a late breakfast, while discussing various topics with the Sahajayoginis serving breakfast. Among the things discussed were the Burj Dubai, the building that aims to be the tallest on earth, and other sights visible from the window of her suite.

2:00 PM

Shri Mataji emerged from her room, and spoke to the Sahajayogis present for a few minutes, asking them where they were from, and so on. After a while, some cloth merchants came forward as arranged to offer sarees to Shri Mataji. Mother was very pleased with the floral patterns and spent over an hour examining various sarees. She spoke to the Sahajayogis present about various cultures in India and the different styles of sarees they prefer.

8:00 PM

A musical programme had been arranged, with the hope that Shri Mataji would be able to attend and bless everyone. Unfortunately, Mother was not able to be present at the event, although it was clear her attention was on it as vibrations filled the place and the cool breeze was strong enough to leave many hands numb. The programme started off with a few songs by children, who, with the open heart and innocence only a child can have, sang the initial bhajans in praise of Ganesha.

Sahajayogis from the main visiting countries, Bahrain and Iran, also performed and entertained the crowd with their musical prowess. In just a few minutes, most of the Sahajayogis in the hall were dancing in joy. The Sahajayogis from Iran were particular favourites of the crowd, who called for an encore after a particularly energetic dance song.

The Sahajayogis of Dubai also received an unexpected blessing when it was announced that Shri Mataji has decided to extend her stay in Dubai by approximately a week.

12th August

Shri Mataji rested during the day. She decided to go shopping in the evening. She went to one of the most popular shopping malls in Dubai, called Ibn Battuta. On the way, Shrimataji and Sir CP had a panoramic view of Dubai and appreciated the new developments in the city. Mother purchased some childrens clothes and then ate dinner in one of the restaurants in the mall. Shrimataji and Sir CP enjoyed the fried fish and appreciated the quality of the food.

13th August

Shri Mataji, Sir CPs visit to Al Ghurair Shopping Mall – 13 August 2007

Shri Mataji, Sir CP, and Kalpana Didi started for Al Ghuriar Center at 3PM with a team of sahajayogies. The first part of the shopping was dedicated to sarees. Shri Mataji went to three stores. She shopped with great interest taking her own good time in each of the stores. She was extremely jovial and gave the store managers a tough time asking them the type of fabric, reviewing the colors, the price to name a few. What we realised finally was that Shri Mataji was very clear in her selection even as she looked from a distance; and once she asked for a piece to be brought near for display, she invariably bought it.

One storemanager said after Shri Mataji just left his store that there was something special about this customer. He was in a state of shock after he came to know who had visited his store and said he had heard about her.. He said that he would have been flexible during the negotiation stage had he known who had come to the store. However he said in a way it was better since a fair deal was struck at the end!

Shri Mataji then assisted Sir CP in his choice of elegant men’s accessories. The visit concluded at 7PM. On her return Shri Mataji presented gifts to a number of sahajayogis and sahajayoginis present at the hotel. Shri Mataji gave individual attention to sahaja yogis and yoginis asking them separately on their name, surname, birth region/nationality, questions on family etc.

15 th August

On the occasion of the 60 th Anniversary of the Indian Independence, a musical evening was organised by the collective. Shri Mataji and respected Sir CP accepted the collective’s invitation to come and bless all the sahaja yogis.

The collective, especially the bhajan group and children who had been practicing since a couple of months were thrilled by this great news. Preparations were started promptly,and all was made ready for hosting a wonderful evening with the Adi Shakti. The evening of the 15th August sahaja yogis of UAE, Oman , Bahrain and Kuwait had assembled at the Ballroom of Dubai Movenpick Hotel as early as 6:00 pm. The collective spent some time enjoying each other’s company and meditated while they waited in grand antic ip ation.

After a few bhajans, around 8:30 pm Shri Mataji, along with Sir CP and Kalpana Didi entered the hall. All the sahaja yogis were filled with immense joy and gratitude as everyone sang “Swagat Agat Swagatam”. After a brief welcome note, Sir CP stood up and addressed the collective. Sir CP recalled the Independence movement. He mentioned Shri Mataji’s partic ip ation in the Quit India movement and paid homage to the freedom fighters for their sacrifices during the freedom movement. He also recalled an incident where he had asked Shri Mataji for her views on his career. Shri Mataji had then advised Sir CP to take up the Indian Administrative Service over the Indian Foreign Service. Shri Mataji prefered the former option since this would enable Sir CP to serve the people of India by being situated in India .

The music program started off with the children’s group singing “He Prabhu Tu Dynan Rupi”. Next was Shri Mataji’s beautiful composition “Ma Teri Jaya Ho” on this auspicious occasion, as all hearts were united through Her. It was quite a strong experience for all those present. Then came the climax of the evening when sahaja yogis from the east and west jointly sang Allahu (Mataji Qawwali), as all joined in the chorus. The whole collective was dancing joyously. Shri Mataji was much intent, one could tell on the vibrations that She was pleased with Her children. Her face, like the thousand suns, was radiant.

Sir CP thanked the collective for such a wonderful evening. He asked us to promise that we will propagate the message of Sahaja Yoga in this region. The whole collective promised with a big “Yes!”.

We all thanked Shri Mataji from our heart that She gifted us this wonderful evening, and thanked for Her Blessings to UAE.

17 th August

6:45 AM

The time to bid farewell to the Adi Shakti had come. Everyone was very much in bliss, not a single soul had a trace of sadness in their eyes. Departure preparations had been done since 4:00am well in advance. Shri Mataji received a group of UAE yuva shaktis and blessed them by receiving their hand crafted gift, symbolizing the evolution of mankind. Aarthi was offered at the Hotel. Shri Mataji and Sir CP looked very relaxed and pleased. They gave blessings to everyone. Both Shri Mataji and Sir CP said that they were happy with their stay and that they would come again to Dubai .

7:05 AM

There was a gathering of 120 sahaja yogis waiting at the airport. When she arrived at the airport, Shri Mataji smiled and blessed them all. She paid special attention to the small children who were there. After greeting all the sahaja yogis, Shri Mataji, Sir CP, Kalpana Didi, accompanying sahaja yogis and the Dubai farewell committee entered into the VIP lounge, where refreshments were offered while waiting for the flight time.

Finally, upon boarding the flight, Shri Mataji asked the sahaja yogis of UAE to write down a list of all the names of those who get realization. She asked the list to be sent to Herself. She also said that She will come again to Dubai .

7:55 AM

Shri Mataji and Sir CP departed for Italy .
